NYSSA and her flute summon a new future with “The Tower,” where breakup song and protest song collide in a scorched earth mission of mercy.  

While The Tower tarot card symbolizes destruction, for NYSSA this means rebirth. Clad with chorus-pedal guitars, drones, woodwinds, and mountainous percussion, the new song swells and sways with great ferocity, and NYSSA’s voice remains impossibly impressive.
