NYSSA introduces Cursebreaker, a new EP out February 20, 2026, with new song “The Faultline.” With its sinewy guitar lines, “The Faultline” explores the damage done from internalized critique. A grunge-y dirge of good riddance, “The Faultline” breaks with the past, a fitting sentiment for the start of a new year.
Borne of the rubble, the Cursebreaker EP features a triptych of new songs alongside re-recorded and reimagined cuts. The new versions introduce a communal aspect to songs that have risen over time to become staples of NYSSA’s notable live performances. Cursebreaker concludes with a new cover of “Heaven” by The Psychedelic Furs.
Cursebreaker is a Celtic-tinged, gothic folk-leaning rock and roll collection, where breakup song and protest song collide. The EP tells a cautionary tale about the risks of cornering someone who is willing to fight their way out, no matter the cost. Equal parts hungering, thrashing, glowering and transcendent, Cursebreaker unleashes NYSSA the spell-maker.

ABOUT NYSSA
London, UK, based artist and songwriter NYSSA is known for her vivid lyrical imagination, emotive vocal power, and genre-blurring approach to modern rock and alt-pop. Best experienced live, her captivating performances perfectly blend animal instincts with an operatic vocal power and range.
Now part of London’s burgeoning community of new wave punks and outsider artists, where she moonlights as flutist for many emerging bands, the Polaris Music Prize nominated NYSSA is active in the UK and Europe, including shows with Anna Erhard and at Rolling Stone Beach Festival. Her storytelling draws on myth, emotion, and lived experience, offering a rich, distinctive perspective and a strong melodic instinct.
