Ahead of his upcoming headline tour dates in Canada, Boy Golden’s Best of Our Possible Lives is now available in a deluxe edition. Released today, the expanded version features two new songs that further elaborate Boy Golden’s humanistic worldview and impeccable sonic style, including “Fell in Love (Couldn’t Get Out)” with Cat Clyde, and “Pity”, released earlier this fall.

From a ‘loud and loose’ demo to this rollicking studio version, with “Fell in Love (Couldn’t Get Out),” Boy Golden and Cat Clyde have found yet more musical magic in their collaboration. The song adds a playful dimension to the complexities of emotion, motivation and self-awareness that shape the album as a whole. Boy Golden’s jangly alt-country approach puts a clever lyrical spin on a timeless relationship truism: the simple fact of matters of the heart is that there’s rarely anything simple about it.

In his own words, “The song's lyrics are intentionally a bit obscure, but all center around the idea that love can make a fool of any one of us. We fall in love with people that are not available to us, or we fall in love with things that are bad for our health - it happens to everyone sometimes. It’s ecstasy and agony. The things we do for love are not always explainable, sometimes you just fall in love and you can’t get out.”

Hot off his impressive debut performance at the Ryman Auditorium at the Americana Honors & Awards, Boy Golden will embark on a headline tour of Canada in November that includes two-night stands in Edmonton, Calgary, and Winnipeg, a stop at the Mod Club in Toronto, and more. Boy Golden kicks off the new year with more headline shows in Nashville, Washington, DC, Philadelphia, New York and more.
