The Polaris Music Prize today announced the Polaris Cover Sessions. Recorded at Revolution Recording in Toronto, and mastered by João Carvalho Mastering, the cover sessions feature previously nominated Short List artists’ reinterpretations of a fellow Short List artist’s song. Extreme weather forced Interstellar Rodeo to cancel the opening night of this year’s festival, and it was Corb Lund and his band’s willingness to play a Monday night make-up show which set in motion a flurry of phone calls and planning, and a full lineup came together in a matter of hours.

Today’s extreme weather may have thrown a wrench into our opening night plans, but the show (and festival) does go on, if only a few days later. Friday night’s Corb Lund performance moves to MONDAY, JULY 28. Saturday and Sunday festival days will proceed as planned.
