Six Shooter artists are confirmed for several milestone shows in Toronto, including Whitehorse’s debut as headliners at Massey freakin’ Hall (March 2, 2013). As well, Jenn Grant performs with Cuff The Duke (November 24) and Danny Michel with Quique Escamilla (December 8), both on the dreamscape stage of the Winter Garden Theatre (the coolest garden around… get it?).

It’s been more than a year since we released “The Place I Left Behind”, which continues to receive accolades all over the world. The most recent acknowledgement comes from the Americana Music Association, who has offered the Deep Dark Woods a giant feast in their honor.

Well, the Interstellar Rodeo was just awesome. Straight up, it was an amazing weekend. Thanks to everyone for all the wonderful feedback on our inaugural year. We loved reading through all the audience surveys, emails, facebook posts and random hugs where we learned how much you loved the music, the wine, the beer, the weather, the food, and the vibe. Thank you to the artists who brought the house down, set after set.

Danny Michel, multiple Juno Award nominee, treasured songwriter, David Suzuki-approved green strummer and quiet do-gooder, comes to Six Shooter Records as a longtime All Time label favourite.

Disappointed as we were that Sinead O’Connor had to cancel all of her tour dates this year — our festival included — we are very excited to announce that Gillian Welch will be making a rare trip out to the Canadian Prairies to headline the Friday night of Interstellar Rodeo!

Congratulations to Six Shooter’s newest artist, Del Barber, who released his latest, Headwaters, to hot reviews across the country and a beautiful performance on CBC Q. He’s tearing up the road from coast to coast on a tour with Old Man Luedecke, after which he’ll be playing loads more dates and festivals in the summer months.
