Further From the Country Nominated for CCMA Alternative Country Album of the Year
On Rolls the Wheel Tour in November
Today, William Prince releases a new song, “Change,” which features Nathaniel Rateliff in a pairing of unmistakable and soulful vocals. A mediation on the ups and downs of life as it unfolds, “Change” is a poignant addition to William Prince’s songbook.
“I’m thankful to call Nathaniel Rateliff a friend and we’re all blessed that he decided to add harmonies to ‘Change,’” says Prince. “After Nathaniel invited me to sing John Prine together at his Winnipeg show, it felt like a proper collaboration to mark our friendship was in order. Nathaniel’s willingness to share his light with others is a testament to why he’s so beloved in our community. ‘Change’ is about all the good days and the not-so-good between. Singing with a friend makes for a good day.”
“Change” follows “Lighthearted” as the second new song released since Prince’s most recent album, Further From the Country. The album just picked up another award nomination for the CCMA’s Alternative Country Album of the Year.
Prince has made many high-profile appearances this summer, including FIFA World Cup Opening Ceremonies, Winnipeg Blue Bombers halftime, Calgary Stampede and more.
Coming up, the On Rolls the Wheel Tour begins in BC and makes its way across Western Canada throughout November. Prince will also headline the Mina Nowewinan (Good Sounds) Gala in Toronto.
