William Prince shares a new song, “Lighthearted,” in advance of a sold out final stop on the Further From the Country Canadian tour, at Winnipeg’s Centennial Concert Hall this Friday, April 25, 2026. A study in contrast, “Lighthearted” is a melodic meditation on living in the moment, a signature William Prince offering in its emotional depth and lingering effect.  

“Lighthearted” showcases many of the Winnipeg-based musicians who have also been on the road with Prince on his national full band tour, including Stephen Arundell, Cody Iwasiuk, John Mark Baron and Alyshia Grace Prince. Additional studio contributions on the song include Keiran Placatka, Austin Parachoniak, Ben Plotnick, Trent Freeman and producer Liam Duncan rounding out an all-star local cast.  

Prince will open for Blue Rodeo at their beloved annual RBC Amphitheatre show, August 29, 2026, with Billianne also on the bill.
