I've been doing some thinking. It's not even a matter of being broke anymore, I just straight up looooove Kraft Dinner. Like, top 10 foods, if not top 5. Of course I love it "au classique", but these days I've been rocking the yellow tastebud ticklers with a bit of purple onion, a sliced up veggie dog, and a dash of hot sauce. Oh, and in case you haven't figured it out, the directions on the box are a joke, just stir that powder straight up and forget all that butter/milk garbage. KD makes winter turn into a beach in San Diego... or something. Word.

JUSTIN IN BEST OF TORONTO

The accolades keep pouring in for our Justin Rutledge as he burns up the pavement on tour with Jim Cuddy. Lighting up the reviewers, not unlike the kabillion Christmas lights that we use to warm the cockles of our hearts, in just about every major print media in the country with four-star reviews, he was also recently named Best Songwriter in NOW Magazine's Best of Toronto 2006. That basically means that he is really really really good. For our Toronto friends, if you don't already have tickets to see Justin play the Danforth Music Hall this weekend, then you can catch him live at the Horseshoe Tavern on Dec 21. That place is all Legendary and stuff. One time I saw Alex Lifeson there, and who knows, maybe you will too!

SEE LUKE'S VIDEO FOR FREE ON TV

Also doing dates in Ontario (Ottawa/Kingston) this weekend is Luke "Mr. Nashville" Doucet, whose chiefin' video for "Free" has been added into rotation at MuchMoreMusic, CMT.com, and spin.com. Luke is literally traveling coast to coast next week for an appearance at the Transmission festival in Vancouver on Nov 30 and a full band set at Mo Pitkin's in NYC on Dec 2. I bet if we added up all the miles that Luke has traveled over the years, it would be even farther than the distance traveled by the hot dogs on the little roller things at 7-eleven in their lifespan... well, maybe not that far, but it would be close!

EAST END CHRISTMAS

Scratching your head as to what to get your girlfriend/wife/sister/mother/daughter/niece/jewelry-wearing-man-friend for Christmas? Then show up at the store on Friday (Nov 24) between 7 and 10 pm and check out the winter launch of Sarah Doucet's Twitch Designs. Her necklaces and earrings are the bees knees, and they're gonna get snapped up like whoa! Don't sleep!

Another great day to stop by would be for the NQ Arbuckle in-store concert on Thurs Nov 30 as we participate in Wanderlust, a Queen St./Riverdale block party to lure people out to our burgeoning little neighbourhood for some Christmas cheer. Check out all the great new merchandise we've brought into the store for Christmas, In addition to an expanded collection of books, DVDs, and music, we have a beauty-tastic range of other trinkets, including musical instruments for kids, saucy compacts for the ladies, ornaments for the tree, and the most hilarious cutting-edge Christmas cards we've ever seen. Serious yuks! Oh, and of course we keep a steady stock of wild stunna shades that will solidify your hyphy reputation. Late night shoppers can enjoy hot chocolate while they peruse our shelves until 10 pm on Thursdays and Fridays. We are also considering setting up an eggnog filled hot tub... just looking into the health regulations for something like that... There's gotta be a loophole somewhere....

Oh hey! Don't miss Wax & Wood on Dec 7 (until the end of the month): where art and music collide on vinyl & acoustic guitars. For those artists out there planning to submit art for the show, ya better git on it, 'cause the deadline is November 30! Geeyulp!

HAPPY HOLLA-DAYS!

wwww yeah, we gots some serious holly-jollies goin' on up in hurr. Trust me, every single person in the Six Shooter office is wearing red and green every day from right now up until the 26th! Ok, well Eli is rocking it a bit more on the dreidel tip, but what I'm getting at is that we are crazy festive and we've got the yule log on lock! Holla!

The following Santas are dropping down the following chimneys in the following month:

INTERNATIONAL RELEASES

Ford Pier voyages to Europe next week with his superb disc, "Pier-ic Victory" in hand. He will be traveling by schooner. Christine Fellows beautiful CD, "Paper Anniversary" just came out in United States of America. Up next is the USA re-release of Elliott Brood's "Ambassador", which will coincide with a west coast USA tour supporting the Tennessee Three (Johnny Cash's band). They will be traveling by dune buggy. I was gonna say that they will be touring by boxcar racer, but those blink 182 dudes had to go and wreck it for everyone. Check out tha Broodz tour dates below for all the details on their American ambush.

COME-UP-WITH-A-CONTEST CONTEST!

Alrighty-o, so this month's contest is a double-whammy of time-strapped brilliance. Here it is: whoever can come up with the best idea for a contest for the next edition of this newsletter wins this issue's contest! Woo! Please keep entries realistic and fun, we do want people to enter after all, as telling people they won a contest makes us feel warm and cuddly inside like a cup of cocoa that's been steeped with peppermint tea (try it! It's really freakin' delicious!). Whoever comes up with the best contest will win the esteemed title of honorary-temporary-contest-master and some radical Six Shooter Swagga. I do believe the proper term is booyakasha.

Ho ho humbug,
