SHOUT OUT CMJ OUT OUT

To quote Paul Wall, "we got the internet goin' nutz!". Shout out out out out are currently part way through the second leg of their 'not saying / just saying' tour, which included a dynamite slam dunk visit to the CMJ Music Marathon in NYC. The Shoutset boys kept the packed houses freaking out at their three showcases in the lower east side where they came correct, representing hard for their brand new USA agency AM Only, the certifiably dope Fader Magazine, and marketing party-rockers Musebox. The aftermath has blog kids burning up the coconut internet with rave reviews from Stereogum, SlapYouInPublic, The Fader blog, Gothamist, and a whole ton more. Yeah that's right, Flickr is flicking and Youtube is tubin'. Holla!

If you are kickin' it up in tha GTA tonight (Nov 10th) be sure to come check Shout Out Out Out Out's legendary live show at the equally legendary Horseshoe Tavern. They will be joined by totally awesome weirdos Crystal Castles, and Shoutset's good pals and Edmonton ex-pats, Pants & Tie. It will be a synthy good time! And, oh yeah, they're also going to rock an afterparty thanks to our Musebox peoplez. Come to the show and ask us for details. if you are the stay up all night partying type that is (who isn't?!). From here Shout Out Out Out Out will hit Windsor and Chi-town in the next two days before heading back to the comforts of home. Edmo Repra!!!

GIGGLEDY-GIGS GALORE

It's a heavy weekend coming up with about a bakers' dozen of Six Shooter gigs around the glizzobe. Valery Gore shows 'em how it's done in Japan, Luke Doucet rocks Hollywood (he's like the naked cowboy, but with more clothes!), Justin Rutledge gives the west coast some love, Elliott Brood plays Montrottawa, and NQ Arbuckle and Shout out out out out hold it down at thurr respective jams right hurr in Toronto. See Tour Dates for all the schmeets. Ya feel me?

BABY EAGLE + NQ ARBUCKLE PERFORM AT SIX SHOOTER GALLERY

We are rightly chuffed that the Constantines' Steve Lambke is bringing his solo project, Baby Eagle, to Six Shooter Gallery next Tuesday (Nov. 14). His beautiful record released on Outside Music was recorded with our very own Christine Fellows at her home studio in Winnipeg and released last month to more raves than a case of glowsticks. And we are pleased to welcome the NQ Arbuckle gang to the gallery to liven up the east end during a smash block party on November 30, where all of us groovy east-siders are going to invite shopping revelers to our hood for some good times and good wares. Both in-stores start at 7 pm.

IN THE GALLERY: HAWKSLEY, TWITCH, AND WAX+WOOD

If you haven't already been by to check out Beverley Hawksley's enchanting exhibit at our gallery, you have until Nov 19 to check it out. Up next is a show to satisfy all your secret desires AND your shopping needs with jewelry galore by our very own Sarah Doucet and her popular line of icy-cold necklaces, earrings and other accessories. Don't miss the launch of Twitch Designs on Fri Nov. 24 ( 7 pm - 10 pm) in our Gallery (1118 Queen St. E.).

Submissions are piling in for the December show, Wax & Wood (which is more about gits and reckids than well-hung Madame Toussaud's figurines), but there are still spots left. Visual artists wanting to get freaky-dekey on vinyl records or acoustic guitars are welcome to step out like warriors into the notorious east side. Contact shauna@sixshooterrecords.com for details. Wax & Wood opens Dec. 7.

FOLK STURR

We have been getting a ton of requests for Luke Doucet's 5-song EP, "Foke Star", which currently is ONLY available via a promotion in USA record stores. It is now available for download at www.sixshooterrecords.com, and will be up around the world in a couple of weeks, hooray!

PIER AND TIELLI AND NQ ON THE EURO TIP

Long-time Six Shooter homies Martin Tielli and Ford Pier are taking it to the continent this month! Ford's "Pier-ic Victory" will be released on Nov 14th in Europe, and Martin will be right on his heels with release of "We didn't even suspect that he was the Poppy Salesman" on the 21st. Kick back with a baguette and a crisp Alsatian lager and celebrate! Ford travels to Europe soon...see tour dates for the when and the where! Also check out that section to find out when and where NQ Arbuckle will be lighting up Italy.

SHOP NOW! SHOP! SHOP!

Christmas is just around the corner, and we know there is no better shopping fun than hitting the Six Shooter store. We'll be welcoming late night shoppurrz every Thursday and Friday night until 10 pm with hot chocolate (six shooter stylez!) starting Nov 23 and running through until Christmas. For those of you outside of Toronto, check out our webstore for a wide array of holly-jollying Christmas gifts. To beat the postal rush (or at least the postal Geddy Lee), international shoppers should place their orders by Nov 24 and Canadian shoppers by December 8.

We've got a fresh supply of Six Shooter toques to keep your respective beans in cozy check!
