Hiya!
Couple quick notes about this weekend:
GOOD NEWS is that LUKE DOUCET, who just finished mixing the live album we recorded in January, brings back his fabulous double-drummer band, this time with Richard Levesque on bass, and Glenn Milchem and John Obercian on drums. Don't miss it this Friday (Mar 26) at the Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto. The show was originally a co-bill with MARTIN TIELLI, but instead is now an unannounced performance by the beautiful RHEOSTATICS. Two Minute Miracles open - it's going to be a joyous evening. Get there early.
BAD NEWS is that this is the only other date Martin will be playing. The shows in Hamilton (tonight), St. Catharine's (Saturday), Kingston, Wakefield and Montreal (all next week) are CANCELLED due to insurmountable performance anxiety. The Rheostatics were available last night and tomorrow night to step in, but not on the other dates. My sincere apologies to the promoters and fans. Those who bought tickets to the cancelled shows will be able to get full refunds.
THIS JUST IN...I just found out that NQ ARBUCKLE , who keeps such a low profile that he forgets to tell even me about his upcoming shows, is playing this Saturday (Mar 27) at the Starlight Social Club in Waterloo with Neko Case. The show is almost sold out, but Bernard tells me there are a handful of tickets left.
STAY TUNED for news about Six Shooter Record's latest roster addition!
Beauty on,
Shauna
