SIX SHOOTER AT NXNE

Six Shooter is throwing a big ol' party at the Horseshoe Tavern for NXNE in Toronto. We take over on June 10, 2004 from 8:15-11:00. Our show will include Six Shooter artists: NQ Arbuckle, Ford Pier, and Luke Doucet. Six Shooter is of course the iciest, so obviously we will be giving away fistfuls of swag to those who show up early. More than $1000 in punctuality prizes will be doled out at 8:15, 9:05, and 9:55. Ka-bling!

COAST TO COAST IN 6 DAYS WITH FORD PIER

Ford Pier is doing his rock and roll duty with a few live dates in June. He will be traveling by balloon. This is all true except for the balloon part which is what we like to call "razzle dazzle". See how this works? We give you the cold hard facts and then we spruce it up with the aforementioned "razzle dazzle technique". Ford will be a-Pier-ing in these cities at these venues:

VICTORIA: Fri. June 4 @ Logan's, with Carolyn Mark.
TORONTO: Thurs. June 10, NXNE/SIXSHOOTER SHOWCASE at the Horseshoe Tavern.
WATERLOO: Wed. June 16, Starlight Social Club, with the Organ.
HAMILTON: Sat. June 19 @ The Casbah, with a Northern Chorus.

OK, so some smartypants east coasters pointed out that this isn't exactly coast to coast, but it sure sounded good. Watch for a Ford Pier interview coming soon to www.sixshooterrecords.com.

SIX SHOOTER WANTS TO DRESS YOU

Real playas know where the hot threads is at. Prove that you are a power mover in all new Six Shooter gear including belt buckles and the ever popular "teesh". The new biznass will make it's debut at our NXNE showcase... it will be appearing in fistfuls...hint, hint. Six Shooter swag will be pimped at: www.sixshooterrecords.com starting June 15.

VISUALIZE SIX SHOOTER (AKA VIDEO NEWS)

Martin Tielli's latest video was recently completed by Scott Cudmore...a gloriously bizarre take on the song, "Merry Christmas Sergeant Kraulis" where giant stuffed animals kill our dear Mr. Tielli in High Park in the winter. Yeah, we know you get bummed out when you see snow in the middle of summer (let alone giant stuffed animals attacking six shooter artists in said snow), so we'll probably wait until the fall to release this puppy.

SOUNDTRACK ATTACK

Veal's "I Hate Your Lipstick" was featured in a recent episode of the popular TV series, "Joan of Arcadia". In related news, Veal bassist Nik Kozub's father, Wilf Kozub, will also soon have music featured on "Joan Of Arcadia" from his new album as Wilfred N And The Grown Men, which Nik also co-produced. Apparently, studio madness is in their blood.

That's it for this issue!

Beauty on,
Shauna and Helen (and Nik)
