MARTIN TIELLI

Last call for Martin! Catch Martin's last show of the tour in Vancouver TONIGHT (Thu Oct 23) at Richard's on Richards, with Christine Fellows opening. This tour has seriously been amazing - don't miss it, west coasters! The Edmonton show left Nik's dislocation prone jaw on the floor.

Have any of you noticed that sometimes your tastes change over time? Like, when you were younger you used to go skateboarding and then come home and slam two litres of milk as though it were water and actually find it really refreshing, but now you find the thought of having even a small glass of milk nauseating? I guess what I'm getting at is that Martin's Neil Diamond hairdo was just a phase. If you missed out on said era of coiffure excellence, tune in to CBCs ZED TV on Friday night (Oct. 24)to check Martin flexing his follicles.

VEAL

The Veal boys have been laying low over the summer as Luke has been touring his ass off (seriously, the dude has no ass) with Oh Susanna and Blue Rodeo. Nik and Chang are now gearing up to reunite with Luke and take their embattled hearts back on the road. The tour will include a few shows in London (UK, that is), and a whole bunch of shows across Canada. Watch www.vealmusic.com for hot tour diary blog action.

In other Veal news: Nik's bizarre obsessive compulsive tendencies have led him to obsess compulsively about wearing argyle socks that match his shoes. Has anyone else noticed that argyll socks are becoming increasingly difficult to find in men's wear departments? If you want really good argyle colours, it's pretty much a given that you have to buy women's socks. Dudes get no argyle love.

Three-fifths of Captain Tractor members are now fathers. Of course we all know what that means...it's Grey Cup Time again!!! The boys will be giving new meaning to huddle and punt on November 23rd in Regina when they play for the same crowd that used to beat them up in high school.
