MARTIN TIELLI
The second of the smirkly named Tielli 2003 Series, the Schoenberg Cabarets, are still not ready. But we're very close. The tins have gone to the printer, and the rest of the biznass will be done in the next week or so. We'll have everything back from the manufacturer in January and we will surely mail the suckers out in a speedy fashion.
Sadly, it won't be out before Christmas, but if you're looking for a nifty gift for that special someone, the Rheostatics brand new DVD is now in stores and up at www.maplemusic.com. Check out rheostatics.ca, which isn't officially launched yet, but does have some information, and also a place to sign up for the Rheostatics mailing list.
NQ ARBUCKLE
The dandy NQ plays with the fabulous Oh Susanna on December 13th at the spanky Starlight Social Club in Waterloo. The spawn of the famed Jane Bond and her secret lover, Bernard Kearney, this venue is one of the finest in our fair country. Check it out.
CAPTAIN TRACTOR
The tractor boys will be spending New Year's Eve in Calgary. Just stand in the middle of the street downtown and rub your mittens together and they will appear. Ok, well actually the show is at Brew Brothers Brewing Company (607 11 ave SW). Rock on!
Merry merry and sweet beauty on,
Shauna (and Nik)
Title track: from Luke Doucet's "Annie Lu", not yet recorded.
